One of the major improvements boasted by both the new Internet Explorer 8 and Google’s Chrome browser is the new privacy protections put in place. Both browsers have increased cookie blocking abilities and even include a mode that allows you to surf the web in a near anonymous manner.
The problem this presents to affiliate marketers is clear, most of these programs track referrals through the use of cookies. If browsers start to block these cookies on a regular basis, it could really shake things up for marketers. Linkshare has some technologies that do not require cookies, but the vast majority of programs still track referrals in this manner.
Given the incredible amount of identity theft and fraud going on today, increased privacy is generally thought to be a good thing. We should only expect this to become a bigger and bigger issue with more safeguards put in place in the future. Anyone running an affiliate program should be looking for the next technology now so that they are not stranded in the future as more and more users block the tracking cookies.

Google recently addressed the issue of static vs. dynamic url’s in relation to search engine indexing. I, like many, have believed that using static url’s was beneficial to your rankings in the SERPs. While admitting that static url’s have a slight advantage for indexing and ranking, Google has become very good at managing dynamic url’s. Googlebot can actually crawl dynamic url’s and can even interpret the different parameters. It is actually worse for your site if you try to make your url’s look static if they are not. Google’s opinion is that you are better off not even trying to rewrite dynamic url’s. The potential benefits are small, and you could very easily remove information that would help Google better understand your page.

Our most recent review was for the Blogging to the Bank 2.0 ebook. I recently got my hands on this product and read through the entire book, only to be disappointed. This product is definetely targeted at beginners and didn’t provide a lot of unique information or ideas.

I hope you have enjoy this series on article marketing and I wish you the best of luck as you put these tips and techniques into practice. This will be the final entry in this article series, but there will be lots more marketing information to come in the future.
Once you have written your article and done all the necessary optimisation, it becomes time for the most important part of article marketing…getting your article posted. No matter how good your article is, if you aren’t able to get it posted on many directory sites, you won’t see much benefit from your efforts. As you remember, our goal in article marketing is to generate quality backlinks, and the best way to do that is to get your article listed in as many places as possible.

In the second part of the Article Marketing Tips series, I want to discuss the important items to consider when writing your articles to be used in your article marketing campaign. There are several key numbers to keep in mind when working on your articles. It is pretty widely agreed upon in the internet marketing arena that it is best to write articles between 400 and 700 words in length. The general idea behind this range is that it provides you a long enough article to optimise for any targeted keywords, while keeping you from spending too much time on each article. The other important number range is 2% to 5%, which is the ideal concentration for your targeted keywords in the article.

One of the best ways to build links to your website and increase traffic is through article marketing. If you aren’t familiar with article marketing, it is simply writing unique articles and submitting them to various article directories that will post them online. While article marketing can lead to some direct traffic from readers of the articles, you will likely see more benefit from the backlinks generated from having your article (and the accompanying link to your site) posted at hundreds of websites.

While nobody knows the exact secret formula that Google uses to rank websites in the search engine result pages (SERPS), one widely recognized factor is Keyword Authority. Although many Internet marketers know about keyword authority, I’ve found that very few really understand what goes into it. My goal with this post is to help demystify the idea behind Keywords Authority and how it can be improved.

In the world of online marketing today, there are thousands of products and services available to help you improve your business, get more web traffic, and simply earn more money. One problem that I have found is that not only does the quality of products vary wildly, the cost does also. When people buy products online, there is one question that should always be asked, but often isn’t. Is this product really worth it?
