Although Google’s Chrome browser includes many impressive privacy features like its Incognito mode, many web users are still concerned with Google’s data collection policies. In true Google fashion, it has built a tracking feature into Chrome that allows the search giant to know exactly how people are using its browser.
A German software company called SRWare has come up with a solution to the Google tracking feature. They have created a new browser dubbed ”Iron” that is essentially Chrome without any of Google’s tracking capabilities. With the Iron browser:
There is no unique user-ID
No user-specific information is sent to Google
No alternative error messages
Crash information is not sent to Google
Google updater is eliminated
If you are concerned with the potential for Google to track your usage, but are a fan of the Chrome browser, download Iron and give it a try.

Have you ever sent that late night email that you immediately regretted the next day? Perhaps you had a few too many cocktails and sent a love email to your ex. Google has decided to help those late night partiers out with the new Mail Goggles software.
Mail Goggles come to life after dark and on weekends and requires that five simple math problems be answered correctly in less than a minute in order to send a Gmail message. Google has made the Goggles program an optional feature and users can set the times when it is active. I have a feeling that if I was sending a drunk email, Goggles would provide more entertainment as I try over and over again to get all five questions right. At least that might give me time to reconsider whether I really want to be sending the email message, after all.

If you’ve been following my blog, you may remember a piece that I wrote on a great piece of freeware called Xobni. The program is an addon for MS Outlook and makes finding emails much more efficient. Since I first started using Xobni, another email addon has started gaining popularity, Xoopit.
While Xobni is great for users of Outlook, Xoopit is designed with millions of Gmail users in mind. The service adds a toolbar to the top of your Gmail inbox that lets you search your inbox for photos, videos, and files with the click of a button. Xoopit will also show you which people send you the most items in their emails.
The major concern with Xoopit is that you have to supply them with your email login information which causes concern for many people. I’m sure that the serivce is fully secure, but I still wouldn’t feel comfortable using it on an extremely important email account. If you’ve got a personal account or aren’t concerned by the security risks, it’s a fun email service to try out!

I just posted a full review of the Affiliate Organizer software. You can read the review here. It’s a nice little program, but like I mention in the review, if you are reasonably skilled with Excel and spreadsheets, you can accomplish the same task and save the $67. Plus, their customer service has been very poor in my experience, so I hope you don’t need help!
