Google confirmed yesterday that it is indeed launching its own open source internet browser, Chrome. The first publicly released beta version is expected out today. Google claims to have created a ”clean and fast” browser that stays out of your way and lets you  experience all the web has to offer. Each browser tab is kept isolated in a “sandbox”, which Google says will keep one browser tab from crashing the others. In addition, Google has built a new, more powerful Javascript engine called V8. V8 is designed to run the next generation of web applications.
