If you are looking for a place to market your products to affiliate marketers, there is a new alternative to Clickbank. Click2Sell allows you to sell both digital and physical products and doesn’t charge any setup fees for merchants.
There are also some other key differences with Click2Sell. Fees range from $1 to $3 per transaction, compared to the percentage sale method that Clickbank uses. Click2Sell also provides merchants with much more control. Merchants have full control over refunds of their products and can even set up different commission rates for certain affiliates.
While the full control provided to merchants over refunds and payments to affiliates leaves room for dishonest merchants to take advantage, they have instituted a merchant rating system. For example, if a merchant does not pay commissions on time, its rating is lowered. There is even a “hall of shame” for the really bad merchants.
Click2Sell still has a ways to go, but it does offer many promising features. I’m not sure if the site will be able to maintain the integrity and trust that goes along with Clickbank or Commission Junction, but it’s possible that the rating system will work well enough to manage this task. Whether you are a merchant or an affiliate looking for products to sell, take a look at Click2Sell.

I had previously posted a review on John Mills’ Affiliate Organizer software. Overall I wasn’t overly impressed with the software and was even less impressed with the complete lack of support and response from John Mills. This is an update to my previous post.
I originally heard about the Affiliate Organizer software in The Super Affiliate Handbook. Rosalyn Gardner also reviewed the program on her site, so I felt pretty comfortable with the purchase. While I felt that the product would help some, I found that it just wasn’t the right product for me. I requested a refund under John Mills satisfaction guarantee. I mean, I wasn’t going to be using the product, so I wanted to get my $67 back. Makes sense right?
Apparently not. After several emails to John and the product’s support email address, I received no response at all. I had paid for the product with a bank transfer through PayPal, but it turned out that PayPal doesn’t provide any guarantee for digital products. Unfortunately, since I paid through my bank account, I couldn’t challenge the charge through a credit card company either.
All in all, it has been a very frustrating situation. At this point, it is less about the money than it is about people not living up to their guarantees. It is just a reminder that you have to be careful when buying directly from individuals like that. While I don’t make a habit of it, Clickbank is extremely easy to make returns under the 60 day guarantee. Who knows, maybe the situation will still work out. All I know is that I’ve been very disappoint with Mr. Mills.
